WheelCare.Health has submitted documentation to the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Office of Charitable and Regulatory Programs for approval to solicit charitable contributions to support our mission.

This office (with its crazy-long title) is responsible for making sure that we adhere to Commonwealth legal standards when we solicit money and in-kind contributions. (Note: we accept donations of used wheelchairs and scooters for parts and refurbishment!)

Once this step is completed, we will officially pursue initial, limited fundraising efforts to subsidize repair and maintenance of power scooters and manual wheelchairs.

PS – No answer yet from the IRS on the 501(c)(3) application. Rumor has it that processing is very slow right now.
