A senior living community donated a surplus rollator—a very nice rollator—to our Resale/Rehome program in June of 2026. During intake, while doing the standard checking of hardware and cleaning of the device, we discovered the receipt shown above in the under-seat storage compartment.
Yes, that is indeed a bill for $110 to replace a single grip on a customer’s mobility device. As we received it, one grip was newer while the other had also failed since its partner was purchased three years ago.
We tossed both of them and installed a matched pair of grips off of a donated rollator that gave its parts so others could be refurbished. Parts cost = $0.00. This is an example of why we do what we do.
